Caminha – the hotspot away from the mainstream
The small town in the north of the Portuguese Atlantic coast, directly on the border with Spain, is a true surfer’s paradise. A wide range of wind and wave conditions can be found within a radius of a few kilometers. This makes this area ideal for all ages and levels of ability – from beginners to ambitious semi-professionals, and of course also for children. Thanks to the refreshing temperatures of the Atlantic, the beautiful white beaches around Caminha are not yet overcrowded. The sea reaches quite pleasant bathing temperatures from July to November, and the charming surrounding area attracts with clear rivers, green hills and lush vegetation.
